Lecturer of Japanese, at the University of Nevada, Reno. Yoshie received her B.A. in English linguistics and M.A. in TESOL from the University of Nevada, Reno. Her fields of interests include second language acquisition, computer assisted language learning and teaching, and sociolinguistics. She grew up in Hokkaido, Japan, and has been teaching Japanese at UNR since 2002. She currently teaches first-year Japanese and Japanese culture course. She is also the Japanese Studies minor advisor.

Lecturer of Japanese at the University of Nevada, Reno. Sayumi received her B.A. in Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language from University of Tsukuba, and M.A. in Linguistics (TESOL/FLT) from Syracuse University. She uses her background as a person who spent her childhood in Toyama, went to college in the greater Tokyo area, and worked as a professional business woman in central Tokyo to provide her students with multilateral and profound perspectives. In the past she has taught at Syracuse University, Kenyon College, and International Christian University, Tokyo. Her research interests include second language acquisition, Japanese pedagogy, language learning through technology, and intercultural communication. |
